CPD Computer Peripheral Devices was registered in 1988 exclusively to handle the blooming telecom market. The firm is being promoted by a group of individuals who are in the field of telecom from the past fifteen years. The PCOM or the Public Call Office Monitor, a telephone billing system which was launched by CPD was an immediate market success with sales soaring within a short span of time.

CPD is supported by a high tech manufacturing unit Aurotronics, located at Pondicherry. The firm was registered as a small-scale industry with Department of Industries, Pondicherry, during 1994 to manufacture charge indicating Devices/Telephone Call Monitor, using state-of-the-art technology.

Our systems are basically installed in public telephone booths run by both individual persons and department run public telephone booths. The product is popularly known as 'CPD-PCOM-01'. The product has a current national market share of more than 50%. Currently over 180,000 units are in place and increasing at a rate of over 2000 every month. Besides handling designing, production, marketing and distribution of PCOM, CPD also handles other telecom based consumer products like Call Conferencing units, Caller ID's (in-coming call identification device), called 'KID', Caltrack (multiline & PBX call monitor), and automatic call conferencing units called DAD (Direct Access Dialing) which are value added service products complimentary to PCOM.

CPD is backed by a strong and established service and dealership network. This is one of the factors that has propelled the 'CPD-PCOM-01' as the market leader. There are 85 dealers and service centers, which are spread throughout India, to cater to the needs of the growing PCOM market. CPD believes in long term and continuous customer support and this attitude is what has made the company a front runner.

Aurotronics has received the ISO-9002 certification. Success in the national market has prompted the company to enter into the export market. Now the 'CPD-PCOM-01' is being exported to various South Asian countries like Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and other countries like Kenya, Tanzania and Yemen .
