Direct Access Dialing (DAD) is an equipment with which a user can establish a telephonic connectin to a distant line. This equipment can be used for rendering the STD/ISD facility for those users/subscribers, who lack the facility in their own telephones. A long distance call requires only call to the station where the DAD is available. An operator can provide call conferencing facility with the help of this equipment. DAD works in both manual and auto mode ensuring 24 hour service to th user. Billing for such a connection can be made through the charge indicator which is connected to the DAD.
