DISFE or DACD (Direct Access Code Dialing System) is used for making long distance calls from any public telephone network with a charge card .

 
 

Telephone subscribers who bar long distance calls on thir instrument to protect against misusse and excess billilng. Occasionally need to make long distance calls. DISFE provides a solution for the situation.

Detailed billing is provided to subscribers when bills are issued, creating an apprehension for the users of long distance facility. DISFE address this aspect of the subscribers' need and provides a facility to immediately determine each call's cost and cumulative utilization.

Dynamic long distance barring facility, available to electronic exchange subscribers, is provided to all subscribers through DISFE.

Non-subscribers who are on waiting list can begin availing of long distance service through any local payphone.

 
  • DISFE is primarily meant to enable all registered subscribers to avail
  dynamic STD/ISD control features including self dial of any long distance
  call on the DOT STD/ISD network.
• DISFE can be installed at group dialing center's to serve a number of rural
  exchange areas in order to provide more sophisticated facilities to rural
  subscribers.
• This service investment is very low.
• Safe and secure access by all existing subscribers, who have barred their
  long distance access (STD/ISD) facility. Excess metering complaints and
  revenue leakage on long distance calls are eliminated.
• The service is provided round the clock and provides voice announcement
  prompts and responses.

  exchange.
