Keyboard Concentrator primarily acts as an system concentrating
the EKBs to the existing Telegraph network. It is connected to the
EKBs on one side and works with the SFT/SFMSS on the other.
It can support
16 channels out of which two are towards the message switches. The
remaining 14 can be used on Omnibus circuits or 11 on Omnibus and
3 on Full duplex lines. it can work on 12.5, 25, 50 bps speed on
Omni bus and 12.5, 25, 50, 75, 100 and 300 bps on Point to Point.
The system is
built around a Microcomputer and provides a cost effective solution
to interconnect the rural areas with the primary Telegraph network.
In this manual the first chapter explains the hardware and principle
of working. In the second chapter the system commands are explained.
The third chapter discusses the journal printout and fourth is about
the various types of protocols followed for working between different
systems.
